SINO-ITALIAN CENTRE
The Sino-Italian Centre project in Nanjing encompasses approximately 4000 sqm of architecture designed to promote Italian culture and facilitate engagement with Italian businesses in developing urban areas. The venue will feature exhibition spaces, offices, meeting rooms, and various multi-functional areas.
The project's central concept reimagines the arch, an iconic element of Italian architecture, as a key structural component. This creates a strong visual and structural connection between the exterior facades and the building's core. The facades are characterized by a rhythmic lower level of regular arches clad in metal, and an upper level defined by an irregular yet rhythmic arrangement of arches finished with white marmorino plaster. The top floor features an open terrace, evoking the Italian lifestyle and the tradition of hosting outdoor events.
