VILLA L

Private villa, Shanghai - China

This villa renovation project proposes an architecture sculpted by its natural surroundings, where indoor and outdoor spaces interact across multiple levels. A deliberate, gentle integration of the garden allows nature to spontaneously flow through the house, illuminating interiors. The design fosters an innate relationship with its context—garden, sky, light, and water—ensuring that all spaces benefit from tranquility, natural elements, and panoramic views. The interior unfolds as an open, fluid environment, punctuated by sculptural blocks that define main living areas and create new rooms. This contemporary approach reimagines the existing architectural form into a provocative and unique place. The villa thoughtfully articulates spaces for privileged privacy, convivial gatherings, and vibrant public events. An artistic soul permeates the entire design, transcending the typical house to manifest a singular and contemporary vision.
