TERRAZZA APEROL

Restaurant and cocktail bar, Milan - Italy

We have renovated the historic Terrazza Aperol cocktail bar overlooking Piazza Duomo. The new layout embodies the brand's philosophy of togetherness, crafting a convivial environment  detailed throughout. The interior design integrates with its surroundings, visually connecting the inside and outside through expansive windows that offer a complete view of the piazza and the Duomo. Fluid lines and natural light enhance the connection with the urban space, positioning the locale's architecture as a contemporary extension of the cityscape.

The concept fosters conviviality and interaction. The central bar, fashioned from 3D-printed recycled corrugated plastic in Aperol's signature hue, serves as a focal point. Behind the bar, niches with gilded mirrors and glass and metal shelving amplify the light. Walls adorned with wave-patterned wallpaper converse with the earth-toned porcelain stoneware, laid in a herringbone pattern around the bar as a tribute to Milanese tradition. Graphics by artist Vahram Muratyan interpret Milan and underscore the brand's identity. The panoramic terrace, furnished in earthy tones, acts as a natural extension of the interior, providing views of the Duomo and the city, thereby amplifying the collective urban experience.
