OTRANTO MASTERPLAN

A coastal requalification plan of the city of Otranto, a beautiful historical city on the coast in Apulia, with artistic direction given over to Ennio Capasa. Starting from the tourist port and continuing through both the old and new portions of town and going all the way to the lighthouse on the bay, the project offers a pedestrian path that makes all of the coastline utilizable. Along the path, there are various elements with different functions: an ampitheater that looks out on to the sea, a marina, a Mediterranean aquarium (with architecture and design by Ennio Capasa, a research center and a small hotel.
