CO-LIVING BEIJING

Co-housing, Beijing

2014

This project proposes an innovative urban housing model that combines the privacy of individual housing with the benefits of community living. The goal is to create a residential complex that offers a high quality of life, characterized by modular housing units and customizable common spaces.
Each housing unit is conceived as an independent module, characterized by an internal flexibility that allows spaces to be adapted to the different needs of occupants. The unit can be combined in a single square module and it can be doubled, quadrupled or so on in a modular repeatable architecture.
A range of common spaces, such as a swimming pool, gym, cinema, restaurant, and co-working areas, are designed to promote social interaction among residents, while ensuring maximum privacy.
