NOWALLS, BUT DESIGN

Vudafieri-Saverino Partners attended the charity auction organized by the No Walls association in favor of integration. Made in collaboration with Christie's and with the curatorship of Luca Molinari Studio, the auction has been hosted in the fascinating setting of Palazzo Clerici in Milan, Friday 13 September at 6.30pm.

34 works has been sold, including unique pieces, prototypes, drawings and photographs, donated by some of the major names in architecture, design and photography. These include Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, which has participated in the initiative with the Second Life chandelier, conceived and designed by architects Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino for Dry Milano. Second Life consists of 80 light bulbs of various shapes, of which 70 are incandescent or recovery halogen - burned and not usable - and 10 new, LED and fully functional. A work with which Vudafieri-Saverino Partners confronts once again with the increasingly current theme of the recycling of objects and materials. Second Life is a tribute to the historic filament light bulbs, replaced by the energy-saving ones, and today, finally, by the lower environmental impact of LED technology. The proceeds supports the initiatives for the integration of the NoWalls association.

Lo studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners ha partecipato all’asta benefica organizzata dall’associazione No Walls a favore dell’integrazione. 

Realizzata in collaborazione con Christie’s e con la curatela di Luca Molinari Studio, l’asta è stata ospitata nell’affascinante cornice di Palazzo Clerici a Milano, venerdì 13 settembre alle ore 18.30.
Sono state battute 34 opere, tra pezzi unici, prototipi, disegni e fotografie, donati da alcuni dei maggiori nomi dell’architettura, del design e della fotografia. Tra questi Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, che ha partecipato all’iniziativa con il lampadario Second Life, ideato e disegnato dagli architetti Tiziano Vudafieri e Claudio Saverino per Dry Milano. 

Second Life si compone di 80 lampadine di varie forme, di cui 70 sono a incandescenza o alogene di recupero - bruciate e non utilizzabili - e 10 nuove, a Led e perfettamente funzionanti. Un’opera con cui Vudafieri-Saverino Partners si confronta ancora una volta con il tema sempre più attuale del riciclo di oggetti e materiali. Second Life rappresenta un omaggio alle storiche lampadine a filamento, sostitute prima da quelle a risparmio energetico, e oggi, finalmente, dal minor impatto ambientale della tecnologia Led. Il ricavato va a sostegno delle iniziative per l’integrazione dell'associazione NoWalls.
