Shanghai Moon Watch

A set of four one hand watches

2015

Each watch features a different face of the moon on an hand-etched clock face. The design is based on NASA moon photographs - full moon, first quarter, last quarter and new moon.

The Shanghai Moon Watches only carry a hand painted red steel hour hand as a reflexion on our relationship with the Time. The watches display only the hours as an avant-garde concept to shield their owner from the minutes frantic rush, talking beautifully about the luxury of not being obsessed with the minute-punctuality.

The advanced tourbillon mechanism is handmade and manufactured by Heng Bao.

This "Object of curiosity" is inspired by the designers' childhood universe. Boys who, like Saint Exupéry's Little Prince, dream about coming from an outer planet and keep looking for answers through the sky, the clouds and the most mysterious, the most fascinating element, the Moon.
